About Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad (Gujarati: Amdāvād, Hindi: Ahmedabad) is the largest city in the western state of Gujarat, with a population of approximately 5.2 million. Located on the banks of the River Sabarmati, the Ahmedabad was the capital of Gujarat from 1960 to 1970. In colloquial Gujarati, it is commonly called Amdavad.
